COAHC Silent Auction!
Register an item to be auctioned off September 30th-Oct 9th to support the Council on Aging for Henderson County!
Because there is Never a cost to anyone receiving our services, funding comes from a combination of grants, sponsorships, personal contributions, and special events.
We are excited to announce that this fall, we are launching a new event, the first annual 2022 COAHC Silent Auction! We are inviting you to be a part of this inaugural event to help us serve a vital group of people in our community.
The centerpiece of this program happens on October 1, with a community party at Guidon Brewery from 12:00-5:00 pm.
On this date we celebrate the International Day of Older Persons. We will be celebrating all the aging adults here in Henderson County! We anticipate a robust crowd at the Guidon event, and the funds raised that day and through the silent auction will help us continue our mission and work.
The bidding for the silent auction will begin on September 30th and will end on October 9th. We will promote this program via a series of local marketing activities, including signage in our two high-traffic thrift stores, our social media channels, our website, and ads on a local radio station.
Since the founding of COAHC in 1969, our staff and teams of invaluable volunteers have concentrated on our mission of providing and coordinating services to engage, connect and support local adults at a critical time in their lives.
We are asking for your support to make this kick-off party and silent auction an exciting and successful event. There are many ways that you can help:
- Please consider contributing an item to the silent auction. The article can be donated by you, your employer, or both. Some things that would sell well at our auction include:
- Items from our local merchants
- Local or regional museum, event, concert, or comedy show tickets
- Signed Instruments or memorabilia
- Artwork
- Wine and fine dining experiences at local and regional restaurants
- Destination Experiences or fun getaway vacations
Keep in mind that no item is too big or too small! Every donation will help to support our cause. We have enclosed a donation form for you to complete should you decide to be a valued supporter of COAHC.
- Please mark your calendar now and plan to attend the event at Guidon Brewery from 12-5 pm on October 1st, 2022.
Tickets will be sold in advance www.coahc.org/events and at the event.
