Meet Irene Chudyk!

Irene has been a volunteer with the Council on Aging for Henderson County (COAHC) for around three years! She brings a joyful attitude to our Etowah thrift store, as she sorts and organizes the never-ending Christmas section in the back room. Her positivity has proven to be contagious, and it shows on the faces that surround her, as well as the holiday task work, she has completed in record time.  Irene is well-liked by all, from the volunteers who have been in her corner and by her side for the last three years, to the brand-new volunteers who look to the ‘volunteer veterans’ for guidance.

Thank you, Irene, for all the time and labor you give to make every Christmas item inviting and memorable.  Thank you for being flexible when change was apparent.  Thank you for being a welcoming smile, a kind word, and dedicated volunteer throughout it all!
