Join us Thursday, October 6th, at The Cedars for the second Wine Around the World 2016
Join us Thursday, October 6, 2016 at The Cedars in downtown Hendersonville for the second annual Wine Around the World. As we travel to 8 countries, we’ll sample authentic dishes, 32 wines, and learn about the intricacies of each selection from one of Henderson County’s finest sommeliers, Kimberlee Young of The Poe House, and her team of wine specialists.
In addition to food and wine, we'll enjoy the fabulous sounds of Redux, a local five-piece jazz band. There will be door prizes, a silent auction, and a cork pull for some amazing wines.
Leading up to the event, we’ll be unveiling the countries that will be featured with blogposts focusing on transportation in each country and how available access affects their aging populations.
Last year’s inaugural “Wine Around the World” event was a huge, sold-out success! With assistance from funds raised at last year’s event, we were able to accommodate an 11% increase in our Meals on Wheels service, and help even more older adults in Henderson County continue to live independently.
