Meals on Wheels Volunteer Needs

MOW-joinourteam

This is a living document and is updated on a regular basis as our Meals on Wheels volunteer needs change.

Our Meals on Wheels (MOW) program delivers over 1,000 meals a week with the help of over 205 volunteers. Many of the recipients of this service would not be able to remain in their homes without it. The meals provide 1/3 of their daily nutritional needs, but MOW is more than just a meal. Findings in a recent study by AARP & Meals on Wheels of America show that “a senior who receives daily delivered meals experiences the greatest improvements in health and quality of life compared to a senior who receives frozen, weekly-delivered meals, or no meals at all.” Help us keep the older adult of Henderson County living independently.
